GETTING STARTED

Here is some information, a small guide to help you get started in the world of being prepared.

With some answers to some of the questions you may have.

What is a prepper and What is prepping?

This is what google says:

A person who believes a catastrophic disaster or emergency is likely to occur in the future and makes active preparations for it, typically by stockpiling food, ammunition, (depending on where you live) and other supplies.

"There's no agreement among preppers about what disaster is most imminent".

That sums it up, but there is a lot more to it than popping over to the shops, grabbing a few extra items and then going on eBay or wish to buy a survival kit. Then thinking ‘I am prepared’.

Prepping takes time and some effort. Anyone can do it. You don’t want to fall foul by doing the wrong stuff.

You can spend long endless nights, just finding out this. Then seeing lots of ads promoting prepping and all the stuff you can buy from the various websites.

Some are great resources, with some great information, some are just ways to promote their goods and wares, that haven’t even been tried and tested, or as we have seen lately, promoting other peoples ads and making up a mock video.  It's all just a money-making opportunity.

So, this is why we are showing this guide, to help you through the stages of becoming a prepper.

As I have said, there is some great information out there, from all over the world, sometimes too much, being the good and the bad. This guide is to help you understand and also point you in the right direction.

Of course, it is a learning curve, you can do it. You just have to be in the right frame of mind and to start.

We will be updating the guide as we go forward. Learning many new things and find out what does not work or mistakes that are made along the way. But also, the excitement of learning new things and putting them into practice.

This is an ongoing project, sharing a lot of useful info.

I’m sure there is lot of seasoned preppers out there. Feel free if you would like us to add anything, just contact us.

Read on to start your prepper journey.
